Reigate L Shape Dormer
Reigate L Shape Dormer
With a newborn baby, it was important that our clients, Kate and Matthew had an area where they could relax at the end of the day.
Their Ideas
After having a newborn baby, Kate and Matthew recognized the need for more space in their home. They wanted their loft conversion to consist of an entertainment area, bedroom and bathroom. Storage would also play a big part in their new family life.
Our Implementation
Kate and Matthew were fortunate enough to have a lot of head height in their loft. The height of the roof meant that even before converting the loft to an L shape dormer, the conversion would already have a lot of open space – regardless of the hustle and bustle of the rest of the family home, this open space would give a sense of freedom and would be the perfect place to relax. Room domes, French doors and four Velux windows to the front of the property enhanced this open space.
The bedroom and entertainment area were separated by the glass handrail, and space was utilized by a walkthrough wardrobe into the open space bathroom. Doors sliding into the cavity wall also meant that space was freed up. All these features created the perfect place for open plan living.
