Claygate Loft Conversion – Rear Dormer
Claygate Loft Conversion – Rear Dormer
After having a kitchen extension, Kelly and Duncan realised the importance of maximising space in their property.
Their Ideas
With Kelly working a number of night shifts each week, it was important for the couple to have an area where they could both relax and both could get away from their hectic work schedules.
Due to the size of the loft, it was also important that the space would be open plan and that natural light could be maximised.
Our Implementation
Glass banisters created an open plan living space, half walls round the bathroom were created to give some separation, and a walk in shower meant that bathroom space could be utilised.
The variety of windows meant that natural light was maximised – Velux windows opened up the bathroom area; full length contemporary windows looked out onto beautiful views; and a roof dome above the bed meant that the couple could look up to the stars at night.
The natural coloured decorated walls also meant that our clients could dress the loft conversion with contrasting walnut furniture and bold accessories.
All through the process, everyone in the team from Steve down to the guys on the tools at the sharp end have been excellent. I know potentially our requirements have not been the norm in the loft building world but the result is a wonderful light filled creation that really does you all proud.
What has pleased me most is the way that you overcame any obstacles that arose and also the way the team all mucked in when things could have gone a bit pear shaped. In Richard, you have a really caring, considerate and very knowledgeable Project Manager who over the 6 weeks has really put himself out for us, for which I am very grateful.
