Richmond Full Refurbishment

Richmond Full Refurbishment

Arun and Susanne bought their property in Richmond, their property run down and beyond living in. The property needed renovation throughout, so they assigned A1 Lofts & Extensions for the job.

Their Ideas

The main objective in the full house refurbishment was to create an open space that was contemporary. Our clients’ property needed to be suitable for living, but also for the time and effort to be spent on the property, it needed to have the ‘wow’ factor.

Our Implementation

The Victorian property was destined to have a lot of character. A1 transformed the house from top to bottom, with an open plan living, kitchen, and dining area, and a glass wall separating the hall and stairway to the main living area. Statement pieces throughout gave the property a contemporary minimalistic style.

Skylights and contemporary full-length windows in the kitchen area opened up the space into the garden. Parquet flooring throughout the property gave a traditional Victorian look.

Upstairs, a wide variety of windows were used – roof domes, Velux and contemporary windows were installed for maximum daylight.

Overall, the design was “old meets new”, and the outcome was remarkable. Natural colours throughout paired with bold furniture and accessories made the property a more than suitable place to live, and our clients were more than happy with the ‘wow factor’ present throughout the property.
